I am comparing configurations and one vehicle includes 27U, described as “Customer Preferred Package 27U. This code identifies a factory option package or special-edition equipment group” Owners who have it, would you consider it useful and would you look for it again?

A window sticker is helpful for customer-facing option names, while the build sheet is usually more detailed. If they disagree, the vehicle-specific dealer equipment list can help connect the sales name to 27U.

I would avoid buying retrofit parts until the connectors and module support are confirmed. Returning electronic or VIN-programmed components can be difficult.

The dealer should be able to pull a VIN-specific equipment or parts record. Ask them to search by VIN rather than entering only the three-character code.

My experience has been positive, but the benefit depends on how the vehicle is used. I would treat 27U as confirmation of the configuration, then evaluate whether that equipment matters for your driving.

This sounds more like a documentation mismatch than a decoder error. Different databases often shorten the same factory description in different ways.
