Code 6B3 is present on my 2024 Jeep Gladiator, with the description “Paint Order Code. This code identifies a factory paint color, stripe, badge, or exterior appearance treatment” The visible equipment does not match what I expected. Has anyone run into a similar mismatch?

Check the production month as well as the model year. Mid-year changes are one reason two vehicles with the same badge can have different hardware or descriptions.

Some codes are reused across several brands, but that does not always mean the parts are identical. Model, trim, drivetrain, and production date can all matter.

I have seen this on a similar Jeep Gladiator. The basic description was correct, but one related feature was part of a separate package. I would not assume the code includes every item mentioned in marketing material.

If the feature is listed but not working, scan all related modules before assuming it was removed. A stored fault, replacement module, or configuration mismatch can make original equipment appear absent.

I would start by checking the original build sheet and then compare the physical equipment on the vehicle. A sales or option code confirms the factory record, but it does not prove that every original component is still installed.
